This digital impression is used not only for planning, but also for the subsequent production of precise and aesthetic prosthetic work (crown or bridge).

3. The surgical procedure itself: Precision and painlessness

The actual insertion of the implant is an outpatient surgical procedure that we perform under local anesthesia. At Dobrý Dent, we place great emphasis on the painlessness of the treatment. That is why we use the modern computer-controlled anesthesia system STA (Single Tooth Anesthesia System), which allows the anesthetic to be applied very slowly and specifically, which minimizes the discomfort associated with the injection. During the procedure, the doctor gently lifts the gum, creates a precise bed in the bone and inserts a titanium implant into it. For maximum precision and minimal invasiveness, we often use an operating microscope, which provides us with multiple magnification of the surgical field. This allows us to work with delicate tissues with maximum care and accuracy. After the implant is inserted, the gum is closed with stitches.

4. Healing phase (osseointegration)

After the implant is inserted, the healing phase, called osseointegration, follows. During this time, bone cells grow into microscopic pores on the surface of the titanium implant and firmly connect with it. This process is key to the long-term stability and success of the implant. The healing time is individual, usually taking 2 to 6 months depending on the quality of the bone and the location of the implant (the lower jaw heals faster than the upper jaw). Based on this model, the dental laboratory will make a crown, bridge or other prosthetic work that will exactly match the shape, size and color of your other teeth. The doctor will firmly attach the finished work to the implant. The result is a fully functional and aesthetically perfect replacement for the lost tooth.
